Bellingham Bay - Kevin Nielsen, c. 200543 viewsRather impasto attempt to capture some of the feel of Bellingham's downtown area (and the back of Sehome hill) from approx. King Mountain. Mediocre quality -- but very colorful! (2 votes)

Poppies34 viewsI have no idea where this painting went to. It has a sort of dreamlike quality to it that I wish I could recreate -- the blue of the sky, the red of the poppies, the figures in the middle distance. I remember painting that sky -- a blend of french ultramarine and really high quality cobalt blue scumbled vividly together. If you find someone with this painting, please have them give me a ring, eh? (1 votes)

Delphiniums at Twilight - Kevin Nielsen, c. 200225 viewsOil on canvas. Another favorite of mine, currently on my living room wall. When I get tired of it I shall try to sell it to Joy Harrison -- if she bargains hard enough, she can have it for free. Joy, if you ever happen to read this, give me a call. ;-)
Unfortunately, while it was drying I left this outside, leaning against a fence, in the rain. The frame is slightly warped and never achieved straightness again. (1 votes)

Costa Rican Sunset - Kevin Nielsen, c. 200736 viewsOil on canvas. A random photograph provided the source material, but I was imagining a recent trip to Costa Rica by my friends John and Noella. This is one of my favorite landscapes. (1 votes)
